This all-day workshop will allow you to lose yourself in play to find yourself in fitness. Use the science of the brain to move the body in ways that bring enjoyment to exercise and enhance life. Aqua Fitness Sessions: Make your Water Work (4.5 CECs)

Reinvent yourself, your teaching style, and your classes with new choreography and class formats. Don’t know how to start, or think class planning is a drag? Jackie will provide the templates and you’ll make them your own. Two hours of brainstorming and idea sharing will yield results in the form of multiple class blueprints and new choreography for weeks to come! After creating your class blueprints, relax, enjoy class, and watch as Jackie teaches one of the courses you helped to create just moments before!


Aqua Fitness Sessions: No Equipment No Worries (4.5 CECs)

No equipment, No Worries is an aquatic exercise class in the shallow water consisting of intervals within intervals and choreography sequencing with no additional equipment required. No equipment, No Worries is a fast paced class which continues to build upon itself so that each series is a more challenging version of the previous set. This class is perfect for new instructors and veterans alike who need at least one new idea to return home with!

Spin and Row Sessions: A Whole New Spin on Rowing (2.5 CECs)

In this session, we will review the technique required for effective rowing, explore what makes up power in a rowing AND cycle class and then experience the synergistic drills born in the cycle AND rowing studio. This workshop is ideal for rowing or cycling instructors, and also for instructors who that want to incorporate different modalities in one class.


Spin and Row Sessions: Metabolic Training (2.5 CECs)

Metabolic Training is one of the trendiest ways to train in the fitness industry but do you really understand what metabolic training is? Jessica will define and review the energy systems, discuss various metabolic training techniques, how to design effective and efficient metabolic drills, and take you through a challenging and well rounded metabolic CYCLE workout! Re-ignite your passion for teaching cycling classes!


Ballapallooza (2.5 CECs)

Let’s party! Throw it, catch it, toss it, slam it… nothing’s off limits. Experience a variety of total body conditioning medicine ball moves using all the 3 types of medicine balls. Workout with load, volume, and intensity and discover how to manipulate them to alter the workout experience. Have a ball? Have all three!


Push, Pull, Bend, Twist, Squat and Lunge (2.5 CECs)

Come experience a dynamic and effective strength-training workout based on 6 basic movement patterns. These total-body integrated exercises, which use a variety of studio-based equipment, are designed to improve overall strength, balance, coordination and muscle control. Accessible for everyone, this is functional training at its best. And… a fun time guaranteed!


Recovery for Enhanced Performance (2.5 CECs)

In today’s society, the idea of slowing down is not something that always comes naturally to people. This is our chance to educate our participants and clients on the importance of rest and recovery. In this session Jessica will discuss the physiological and psychological importance of rest and recovery and will deliver the latest research on the appropriate rest between sets, rest to work ratio’s for intervals, and how much time we need recover.


Plyometrics for Everyone (2.5 CECs)

Life often makes you move in rapid and unpredictable ways. If life makes you do it, you had better train for it. Fast, explosive movement requires high levels of coordination, reactivity, and agility to produce power when the time comes. Discover the right way to start using upper body and lower body plyometrics, how to progress for higher levels of performance, and avoid common plyometric training mistakes that even some athletes make.


Mindful Movements that Flow (2.5 CECs)

Take your mind body experience to the next level in this unique workshop infusing Pilates, Yoga, Thai Chi, Fusion and Dance principles in one workout. Jessica will tantalize your senses in this seamless mindful movement experience with the assistance of chill out grooves and thoughtful sequencing patterns.. This workshop is perfect for both mind body and fitness leaders alike.


Staying Relevant in the Fitness Industry (2.5 CECs)

No matter where you are in your fitness career, one thing is certain… the work environment continues to evolve. New technologies, social media, boutique studios and generational issues are contributing to a constantly changing landscape. As in other industries, fitness professionals must learn new skills, stay on top of the latest trends, and often than not, ‘re-invent’ themselves to for career advancement. In this session, you will learn strategies to be relevant at any stage of your professional life, and what is necessary to remain at the top of your game.

What is the one thing that always gets people moving? Great music! This class brings familiar dance and lo-impact moves to some of the best music ever. Even paced, fun, and lively, this creative, cardio workout gives you lots of ‘take home and ready to use’ choreography. Come enjoy the music, and get moving!


PT Tool Box (2.5 CECs)

As the popularity of personal fitness training and small group training sessions are growing, we can get overwhelmed with all the possibilities and possibly get sloppy with our program delivery. Jessica will provide you a systematic approach to program design and delivery while following a basic periodization model. She will layer the introduction of tools such as tubing, BOSU Balance Trainers, Bender Balls and gliders to name a few in an ever evolving exercise program. This will keep your participants engaged and ensure they don’t get injured or overtrained along the way. Jessica’s goal is to fill your PT Tool Box so you always have the right tool for the job!


Unleash Your Willpower (2.5 CECs)

What is willpower? How do you get more of it? Why does it feel like you never have enough? Discover how attitudes, opinions, and feelings about exercise are learned and how to change the learned responses for a more positive result of your efforts. Enhanced desire for healthy behaviors rather than just doing them because you “should” is the secret to immediate and long-term motivation. Roll, Rejuvenate and Recovery (2.5 CECs)

Self-massage is a powerful tool to maintain healthy muscle tissue that is ready when you need it.  In this session you will discover strategies to improve hydration, release chronically tight muscles, and break up restrictions along with unique and creative exercises to enhance your warm-ups, workouts, and postural training.  You will also learn creative ways to integrate these methods into an overall plan to get people excited about doing them.


Cardio – Strength Circuits for Fun and Function (2.5 CECs)

Circuit training continues to be one of the most popular formats for group exercise and small-group training. Learn how to incorporate body-weight exercises and small studio equipment into a circuit workout for functional strength. Using small equipment, discover a variety of total-body integrated strength-training exercises that can be incorporated into any circuit-training class format. Simple to follow and accessible to all participants, the concepts learned in this session are functional and fun


Physical Activity and Neurodegenerative Diseases (2.5 CECs)

Join Jessica Power Cyr a Clinical Exercise Physiologist for an intriguing lecture on how regular physical activity impacts the health of your brain. She will discuss the positive effects of how physical activity and exercise delays and may protect against Neurodegenerative Diseases such as Dementia, Parkinson’s and MS to name a few. She will present current research on how exercise positively impacts those who already have a chronic brain disease diagnosis. We will finish the session with a discussion on the best activities for people living with Neurodegenerative Diseases. The goal of this session is to give you the tools to educate on how Exercise really is Medicine! Come ‘Get Powered Up’ with Jess.
