Power to the People – Cycle yourself strong! (2 CEC)
Muscle power, the ability of the muscles to generate speed while moving a load diminishes with age. Although power is the key component in most sports, it is also essential to being able to perform our daily activities and can affect balance, flexibility and endurance. Riding is a great way to improve lower body power. Work hard, have some fun and take your participants to a new level of strength improvements. Please bring headphones, a water bottle and a towel.
Synergy Masterclass (2 CEC)
Reap the benefits of this ultimate calorie-burning workout through a challenging combination of cardiovascular drills, resistance training and much more! This total body workout is designed to boost your metabolism, burn fat and strengthen your muscles. Come experience this organized Chaos of the synergy system that allows up to 30 people working out at a station workout at the same time.
CSEP Path Update (5 CEC or 10 PDC)

Minds in Motion® Physical Activity for those with Cognitive Decline (1.75 CEC)
Active Older Adults experiencing Cognitive Changes Creates New Challenges for Fitness Leaders: The Minds in Motion® program combines physical activity, socialization and mental stimulation for people living with early to mid-stage Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia to enjoy with a family member or community care partner. This session will provide insight into the success of the program and the opportunities available to certified instructors interested in working with this growing population.
Wellness at Work (2 CEC)
As the majority of adult waking hours are spent in the workplace it is a great place for fitness professionals to target regarding onsite fitness and wellness programming. I will show you how to put together an effective business case and the necessary tools to implement a workplace wellness program. You will leave inspired and eager to approach organizations armed with a toolkit of knowledge and a great set of resources to offer them!
Physical Literacy and Fitness, Connecting the Concepts (2.75 CEC)
We believe in physical activity across the lifespan, most of us have heard the term physical literacy but what does it mean for fitness leaders. Individuals do not consistently develop the motivation and ability to understand, communicate, apply, and analyze different forms of movement, how do we assist in this process, to get more people active.
Kettlebell AMPD (1.75 CEC)
Takes heart-pumping music and your favorite kettlebell moves and combines them into 45-60 minutes of calorie-torching fun! This is a whole-body workout that emphasizes group fitness and focuses on specific areas such as arms, legs, core, and cardio. Each song concentrates on a main area, while still maintaining a whole-body routine. Kettlebell AMPD is a great introduction into the world of kettlebell exercises. Kettlebell is for anyone and anybody who is looking to have fun. Weights vary anywhere from 5-15lbs, so the workout can be adjusted and moves modified to suit your individual needs. Anyone can take this class! The music is diverse, and our moves are simple and easy to learn. MFC Active Older Adult Certification Workshop (18 CEC)
The MFC provides vital training to assist in delivering programs for older adults. Pre requisite for this workshop is any other certification with the MFC. Growing Stronger is an exercise program based upon sound scientific research involving strengthening exercises–exercises that have been shown to increase the strength of your muscles, maintain the integrity of your bones, and improve your balance, coordination, and mobility. In addition, strength training can help reduce the signs and symptoms of many chronic diseases, including arthritis. Additional course costs will apply including the exam and the practical evaluation. Manual purchase included in the cost of the course.
