Christine van der Hoek is approaching her 30th year in the fitness industry. An MFC Fitness Leader of the Year and nominated for the Women of Distinction Award, Christine is passionate about living a healthy life and sharing that passion with participants, clients and colleagues. As a fitness leader, Personal Trainer, Presenter, Evaluator and Trainer of Leaders, she has dedicated her career to learning and promoting the benefits gained by challenging and testing our limits physically and mentally. Now retired, she was the Manager of Adult Fitness Programs at the Wellness Institute where she was also travelled to China four times consulting program design and training fitness leaders for China’s first medical fitness facility. She has written the manuals for the MFC Cycling and Active Older Adult courses as well as the training manual for the Minds in Motion program for the Alzheimer Society. A 4-time Ironman Triathlon finisher, a 2-time Xterra finisher and a TOUGH MUDDER surviver, Christine loves mountain biking and adventure travelling…the crazier, the harder, the better! She deeply believes the only limits we have, are the ones we set for ourselves

Joyce Odidison is the founder of the Wellness Competency Mindset Movement, the Wellness Improvement System Trademark programs, QuickStart Workplace Wellness Program and the WIS Assessment tool. She is also President of Interpersonal Wellness Services Inc. and the WIS Coach Training Institute, where she trains professionals to teach, coach and facilitate the wellness competency mindset shift in workplaces and life. Joyce is a passionate, enthusiastic professional who loves to help organizations and busy professionals life well in all areas of their lives.



Instructor Sheena Kilpatrick - Manitoba Fitness Council - Personal Training Certification Winnipeg

Sheena Kilpatrick

She has been teaching fitness classes since 1997.  She graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education. Sheena went on to complete her 500 hour Hatha/Ashtanga Yoga Instructor in India. She also also completed additional 50 hours of yoga training in Yin Yoga with Bernie Clark, 20 hours in Restorative Yoga and 75 hours in Pre and Post Natal Yoga. She is also a fully certified STOTT Pilates instructor and Exercise Physiologist (CSEP) and Personal Trainer. Sheena is an Instructor Trainer with the Manitoba Fitness Council offering many courses across the province. She also teaches a 200 hour Canadian Yoga Alliance instructor program

Faralee Wilson

She has been working in the fitness industry for over 25 years. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Physical Activity and Sport Studies; and Psychology from the University of Winnipeg in 1996. Faralee has been a certified Fitness Instructor with the Manitoba Fitness Council (Cycling, Sport Conditioning, Choreography, Resistance Training, Yoga, Aqua and Pre-Post Natal) since 1994, a Certified Personal Trainer with the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology since 1995 and a Trainer of Fitness Leaders with the Manitoba Fitness Council since 2002. In 2009, Faralee was the proud recipient of the Physical and Health Education Canada’s Dr. Andy Anderson Young Professional Award. Currently Faralee is the Coordinator of Fitness and Program at the University of Manitoba where she also teaches academic courses for the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management

Over the last 15 years in the fitness industry as both a fitness instructor and personal trainer. Heather has worked with children, youth, adults and seniors in a variety of settings. Her goal is to meet her clients where they are right now and work with them to come up with workout routines and programs that compliment their lifestyles are achievable and enjoyable.

She has her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and has made her focus brain-body nutrition. It brings together the HOW, WHY, and WHEN we eat rather than just focusing on WHAT we eat. It is a whole new way of thinking about food and eating that is revolutionary.

She is a Training Coordinator at the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Heather develops and delivers experiential Disability Awareness workshops to people of all ages in schools, businesses and workplaces. In addition, she is a Manitoba Fitness Council Aquatic Fitness Instructor and an active volunteer within the non-profit sector.

In addition to her role as the Executive Director of the Manitoba Fitness Council, she is a certified fitness leader, leading classes weekly.
