The Rady Jewish Community Centre (Rady JCC) is a not-for-profit community agency featuring state of the art fitness facilities and a broad range of programs and services to meet the needs of our members, the Jewish community, and the community at large. Our programs serve all age groups, are accessible to people of all abilities, and provide an array of cultural, social, educational, health, fitness, and recreational opportunities.

Group Fitness Coordinator (Part-Time)

The Rady JCC is seeking the expertise of a fitness professional who will contribute to positive lifestyle changes for members and guests who utilize the Rady JCC programs, services and facilities. The Group Fitness Coordinator will be required to recruit, train, evaluate and motivate group fitness staff; develop schedules; ensure cleanliness in the facility; oversee equipment purchases; ensure the seamless operation of a variety of group fitness programs; assist the development of budgets and long term strategies. In addition, the ideal candidate will be able to inspire members and instructors; have strong customer service skills and be a people person. The successful candidate will be able to lead group exercise programs and initiate programs and special events that results in positive engagement of our members.

The ideal candidate will bring the following minimum requirements:
• Completion of an undergraduate degree with specialization in the human performance sciences, MFC Group Fitness, MFC Aqua Fitness would be an asset
• Current Standard First Aid with Basic Rescuer CPR Level C
• Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising a variety of group fitness classes including mind/body, cardio, resistance training, HIIT, Aqua and indoor cycling
• Experience leading a variety of group fitness classes
• Ability to motivate and engage members in group settings as well as individually
• Excellent customer service and problem solving skills
• Can contribute to an atmosphere of creativity, fun and energy
