Summary
With our Mission of being a gathering place providing excellence in sport and recreation for everyone, Dakota Community Centre is one of the largest and most successful community centre operations in the City of Winnipeg. Serving nearly 12,000 households in South St. Vital for more than 30 years, Dakota CC offers a broad range of sport and recreation programs for catchment area members and beyond. The Dakota Community Centre features the Jonathan Toews Sportsplex, which includes a twin ice pad, gymnasium, office space and other multipurpose space and the 60,000 sq.ft, multipurpose Dakota Fieldhouse.
The Dakota CC is currently looking for instructors meet the growing demand for our programs. Reporting to Fieldhouse Coordinator, Group Fitness Instructors are responsible for delivering effective, fun and engaging classes to a diverse range of clientele. Instructors should have the ability to connect with participants, be able to provide proper cueing and provide safe alternative to exercises. We are currently seeking certified Group Fitness Instructors in the following disciplines:
– Mat Pilates
– Zumba
– Strength and Conditioning
– HIIT
– Barre
Qualifications
– Current certification from a recognized licensing organization
– Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse demographics base
– Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
– Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal team members
– Valid Standard First Aid and AED certificate is desired or in progress
– Must be a minimum of 18 years of age at time of employment
