Fitness Leader – Contract Opportunity
The Pas, MB
The Northern Regional Health Authority is seeking submissions of interest from qualified persons for a Fitness Leader to lead exercise classes with seniors/ elders and disabled individuals within the community of The Pas, Manitoba. This is an independent contract based service and will require flexible hours.

The Fitness Leader is responsible to:
• Focus on improving and enhancing participants’ physical abilities through exercise and balance building routines in a community setting.
• Teach participants on the benefits of fitness i.e.: physical, psychosocial, reduction in chronic illness, etc.
• Demonstrate basic strength, mobility/flexibility, cardiovascular and balance exercises.
• Assist in training, the development and support of volunteer leaders.

Qualifications
• Grade 12 Education
• Current certification to teach group fitness and/or a specialty program working with older adults. Specifically working with older adults is an asset.
• Current certification in personal training is an asset.
• Valid Manitoba Class V driver’s license.

The applicant must possess the following satisfactory checks:
• Criminal Records Check
• Child Abuse Registry Check
• Adult Abuse Registry Check
